Terms of Service

1. What Streetmarket is

Streetmarket (streetmarket.ae) is a listings platform operated by NatWebSolutions that lets users in the United Arab Emirates list used goods for sale and connect with buyers. We are not a party to any sale. We do not buy, sell, own, inspect, authenticate, ship, or take custody of any item listed on the platform, and we do not process payments. All payment and handover of goods happens directly between buyer and seller, outside the platform, and is their sole responsibility.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract under UAE law to use Streetmarket. By creating an account you confirm this is true.

3. Your account

  • You register with an email address and sign in via a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure.
  • One person, one account. Accounts are not transferable.
  • You must give accurate information. We may suspend or remove an account that we reasonably believe is fake, duplicated, or being used to evade a prior ban.

4. Listing items

  • You may only list items you own and have the legal right to sell.
  • A listing must be accurate: the photos, title, description, price, and condition must reflect the actual item. Misleading listings may be removed without notice.
  • Items must not fall within our Prohibited Items Policy, which is part of these Terms.
  • You are solely responsible for the content of your listings, including photos and description.
  • We may remove any listing, at any time, for any reason connected to safety, legality, quality, or these Terms, without being obliged to explain why in advance.

5. Buying and offers

  • Buy creates a binding offer at the listed price. Make Offer creates a binding offer at your proposed price. Either way, a transaction only forms when the seller accepts.
  • Accepting an offer does not create any payment or delivery obligation enforceable through Streetmarket — it simply matches a buyer and seller who must then arrange payment and handover between themselves.
  • We strongly recommend meeting in a public place, inspecting an item before paying, and paying in a form both parties agree to. See our safety guidance in-app.
  • Streetmarket has no visibility into and no responsibility for what happens after an offer is accepted, including whether payment is made, whether the item matches its description, or whether handover occurs at all.

6. Commission

Streetmarket charges sellers a 5% commission on completed sales. There is no charge to create an account, to browse, to buy, or to list an item. Commission is calculated on the agreed sale price of a transaction at the moment it completes — that is, when both the buyer and the seller have confirmed the deal.

Commission is not payable at the time of sale. It accrues to your account over the calendar month in which the sale completed (UAE time) and becomes payable after that month closes. We will tell you what you owe and how to settle it.

If a sale is cancelled, its commission is waived in full. This applies whether the buyer confirms the cancellation or the response window passes without a reply. You are never charged for a transaction that did not happen. Commission on a sale that is disputed and under review is not collected until the dispute is resolved.

The rate in force at the time a sale completes is the rate that applies to that sale. We may change the rate in future, and if we do we will give reasonable notice before it applies to new transactions; a change is never applied retroactively to sales that already completed. Continued use of Streetmarket after a commission change takes effect constitutes acceptance of it. A plain-language summary is on our How it works page.

7. Ratings

After a transaction, both parties may rate each other. Ratings must reflect an honest account of that specific transaction. We may remove a rating we reasonably believe is false, retaliatory, or posted by someone who was not actually party to the transaction.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  • list a prohibited item (see Prohibited Items Policy);
  • use Streetmarket to advertise a service, solicit off-platform sales of items you haven't listed, or run any business unrelated to selling your own used goods;
  • harass, threaten, or defraud another user;
  • post false, defamatory, or infringing content;
  • attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with the platform, including scraping listings at scale or attempting to access another user's account;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

9. Reports, blocking, and removal

Any user may report a listing or another user. We review reports and may remove listings, ban accounts, or take no action, at our discretion. You may block another user, which prevents them from contacting you or making offers on your listings.

10. Disclaimers

Streetmarket is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate, that any item is as described, that any user will honour an accepted offer, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or authenticity of any listed item, or for the conduct of any user, on or off the platform.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted under UAE law, NatWebSolutions' total liability arising out of or relating to your use of Streetmarket will not exceed AED 500. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss arising from a transaction between users.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for a breach of these Terms or the Prohibited Items Policy, or for conduct we reasonably believe puts another user or Streetmarket at risk. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abu Dhabi, without prejudice to any UAE consumer protection right that cannot be excluded by agreement.
